General options can be setting up at the tab page "General" of "Configuration" window.

"Run programs in" group box: the program will run applications in the selected window state. If you select program presented by name of its link file in the menu, this program will be executed in the default window state defined by link file.

"RunIt! icon" group box: here you can select any of available RunIt! icons. The selected icon will be displayed in headers of dialog windows.

If you check "Insert icon of the default item of Recent Menu in Tray" check box and the icon of default item of Recent Menu will be displayed in System Tray (also known as "area of system watches"). Double-click the icon to launch recently used program.

"Update links info automatically" check box. If checked, RunIt! will update data from link files automatically on exit. Otherwise you have to update these data manually by selecting "Update links info" item from the Actions Menu.

"Save tracks" check box. If checked on exit RunIt! will save all items of Recent Menu and "Excluded" Menu to your disk and next time you'll start RunIt!, those items will be inserted into corresponding menus (looks like Windows' Documents menu).

"Autorescan of disk folders" group box: your hard disk files must indexed to open them from Run Window. Check "Enable" box to turn on periodical autorescan. Select time interval (in hours) of rescan using up-down buttons. If you are not using autorescan feature, you have to rescan your disk folders by the use of "Rescan disk folders..." item of Actions Menu.
